Our History

Lorensbergs was founded in Gothenberg, Sweden in 1995, taking its name from the Lorensbergsvägen area of the City. It began as a consultancy service providing netloan PC booking software to internet cafes and libraries.

The business expanded to the UK in 2001 following the establishment of the People’s Network of public PCs. Lorensbergs has since grown and consolidated its development and service teams in its UK headquarters in the county town of Hertford.

In 2011, Lorensbergs entered a new era with parent company mps public solutions gmbh, Germany. Today, Lorensbergs serves hundreds of customer organisations and thousands of libraries worldwide with resource management and planning systems, and has expanded its operations to encompass a global network of technology and service partners.
