Netloan Wi-Fi print
As internet access continues to rapidly increase via mobile and tablet, so are users’ printing requirements changing. Netloan Wi-Fi print provides a comprehensive solution to this new opportunity, meeting users’ needs for wireless printing and supporting an increase in library footfall.
Netloan Wi-Fi print enables printing from Android, Apple and Windows phones, tablets and laptops within the library. With the increase in multi device usage and BYOD in the library, it provides a perfect solution. In addition, Android and Windows device users have the convenience of printing from home, sending their print jobs for release and collection from their local library.
Uses existing printers and Wi-Fi
Netloan Wi-Fi print offers system compatibility with existing printer hardware – there are no new or additional printers required – enabling you to capitalise on your previous investment.
Whatever your approach to managing Wi-Fi access, netloan Wi-Fi print enables library users once online to progress to printing for a flexible, easy-to-use service.
Self-service is supported in two key ways:
- Print payment and release for wireless print jobs is available on self-service bibliotheca kiosk units
- The use of native printing methods means there is no end user support or roll out demands for libraries
Wireless printing has great potential to widen your libraries’ appeal to different user groups. For those that haven’t yet joined the library, or who are only visiting the area, they can complete guest registration procedures on their device prior to sending a job to print. The level of registration detail can be configured according to your policies and as already set up in netloan.
The release of wireless print jobs follows the same process as for print jobs from PCs. Both types of print jobs can be selected for release using the same criteria and sharing the same admin displays in netloan, with wireless jobs clearly flagged for easy identification. Likewise, printer management is also integrated to cover both types of printing.
