Anywhere from any device

Netloan Wi-Fi print enables printing from Android, Apple and Windows phones, tablets, laptops and chromebooks within the library. With the increase in multi device usage and BYOD in the library, it provides a perfect solution. In addition, users have the convenience of printing from home PCs or from anywhere else they happen to be, sending their print jobs for release and collection from their local library.

Uses existing printers and other hardware

Netloan Wi-Fi print offers system compatibility with existing printer hardware – there are no new or additional printers required – enabling you to capitalise on your previous investment.

Security and control

As a secure, web-based service, Netloan Wi-Fi print enables the library to remain in full control of data and print flows. Personal data remains safely in the library environment while anonymised print jobs are processed and cleaned in the cloud, ready for Netloan to release. What’s more, Netloan’s user group management and suspension functionality ensures the library controls who can print to their printers at all times.

Admin integration

With Netloan Wi-Fi print, administration of your library’s printing services is streamlined for greater efficiency. The release of wireless print jobs follows the same process as for print jobs from PCs. Both types of print jobs can be selected for release using the same criteria and sharing the same admin displays in Netloan, with wireless jobs clearly flagged for easy identification. Likewise, printer management is also integrated to cover both types of printing. It all amounts to the introduction of an exciting new service with minimal training or change to processes required.

Web-based simplicity

As a web-based service, Netloan Wi-Fi print is easy to implement and support. Straightforward, reliable printing methods ensure that it’s a service staff are happy to introduce and promote in the library environment. Its simplicity means users welcome using it too as it quickly adds value to their library visits. As it uses the cloud, users can access the service from anywhere they choose using their web-enabled devices. So whether they’re in the library, at home or anywhere else, it’s a convenient service to use, leading to higher library footfall as users routinely visit to collect their printing.

Self-service

Self-service is supported in two key ways:

  • Print payment and release for wireless print jobs is available on self-service bibliotheca kiosk units; users can pay using cash or card Payment is required only when the user is ready to collect their prints from these familiar service points. This supports home printing with no demands for upfront payment.
  • Users login to their online Netloan account to print documents using their usual library card number and PIN, so there is no registration process or end user support needed to get started
